Context
In a mission-critical data centre, nothing can stop. The customer ran a complex IIoT environment of connected systems that all had to keep operating while being brought together — integration had to happen without ever putting operational continuity at risk.
Summary
I led the integration of the wider data-centre IIoT environment into one unified operational platform — step by step, from discovery and requirements through architecture and validation, with the live environment running throughout.
Contribution
End-to-end technical ownership of the integration, working closely with the customer and across teams:
- Customer and operational requirements, and technical discovery
- Solution architecture and integration strategy
- Platform capability assessment
- Validation and delivery
- Stakeholder alignment
- Lifecycle and reliability considerations
Product / business perspective
Required balancing customer needs, technical feasibility, integration complexity, operational continuity, lifecycle implications and long-term maintainability.
Leadership relevance: Complex integration required coordination across systems and stakeholders, clear handling of constraints and disciplined technical decision-making in a mission-critical environment.
